Squeaky Bum Time

We are currently in the most unpredictable Premiership season so far. Never have so many football pundits been proven wrong. Almost every football pundit predicted that the three clubs promoted from the championship, will be relegated without a doubt. Hull are currently one point behind the mighty Manchester United, Stoke have beaten both arsenal and Spurs away from home, West brom are sticking to the football that has got them promoted, even though their points tally doesn't match their performances.

Even the resilient Manchester United defence have conceded seven premiership goals in two games against Hull and an arsenal side without Emmanuel Adebayor and Robin Van Persie. More or less the same defence that did not concede a single goal against Barcelona in both champions league semi final games last season. Even though Liverpool top the league most bookmakers still have them down as third favorites. Who do you think will win the 08/09 Premier League?

I agree wholly on this subject. This has been the most unpredictable season so far in the history of the premiership.

Liverpool isn’t getting the respect they deserve as serious championship contenders.

Man United are nowhere near their best – Fergie has to figure out a formation system, which allows berbatov to fully express himself as he did at Tottenham under Martin Jol and the brief period under Randy Ramos!!

Chelsea has produced a mixed bag of performances this season. When they win they look convincing i.e. when they gave Middlesboro a good hiding, but the contrast is when they lost to teams like Roma 3-0, lost on penalties to Burnley at home and finally fucking lost at home for the first time in 4 years, going on nearly 5 years to Liverpool.

If you ask me, this is one of the most open leagues in Europe.

For the first time in a long time – all the pundits have been proved wrong, including the bookies!!!! Who would have predicted that Hull would even win a game as Derby struggled last year as the play-off team? Stoke and West Brom having their best starts to a top-flight campaign in their respective histories.

And let’s not forget about “ Arry the Hatchet” or his other persona A.K.A, “ Arry the Houdini” at Spurs. COME ON U SPURS!!!! Since the re-emergence of good- old-fashioned football at the Lane, “Arry” has rescued them from a dismal 2 points to a current 15 points. “ Arry” there aren’t enough words to describe my mate!!! Fuckin Legend will do!!! Harry’s has been sprinkling his magic with not only the team, but with the Spurs faithful.

William Gallas has destroyed the morale at the Gooners. How else would they have lost 3-0 to Man Shitty!!! Arsene Wenger’s needs leaders, not Arsene Whingers!! My personal opinion is that Gallas cost them the league title last year when he started crying like a little school kid when Birmingham scored an injury time penalty! Don’t forget that Arsenal were still top of the league after that game. That’s how important morale is.

In conclusion, my hearts says Man United to win the league but my head says Chelsea. Liverpool stands a great chance of winning the title if they keep it a 3-horse race, coming February. Its going to be a another trophy less season for Arsenal and their head chief, Wenger as his main concerns seem to be for the future, rather than buying experience as there’s some unrest among the Gooner fans. The rather funny thing is that in the future, he might not even be manager!!

Last but by no means least, props to RAMPAGE. Keep up the good work!!!!

I’ll see you at the next sparring session when you come back Leicester!!!
